Thanks Lite Beer,

I just read the thread you posted over and I just want to be clear. Khor Dor 1 is the front part of you marriage certificate, Khor Dor 2 I'm still abit confussed what it actualy is, Khor Dor 3 is the information on the back of your marriage certificate. So do I have to show Khor dor 1,2,3 for my year extension through marriage now ?? and if I really need a Khor dor 2 where do I get it? The same place I registred my marriage or any amphur? My marriage was registered in Nontaburi but I live in Rayong now. This is my 3rd extension and I never heard of the Khor Dor 2 before, I've only ever giving the front page of my marriage certificate for my prior extensions. Is this a new requirement? I live in Rayong and will be using the Mabtaput immigration office has anyone done there visa extensions there recently? What documents did they require? Thanks for any replies!!

This document has only been reported as being required at a few Immigration Offices. I have never been asked for it either. I am in the same boat as you. Never seen one.

You get it from the Office you registered your marriage in.

For me it would mean a trip to Bangkok and as I will be dealing with Nong Khai Immigration I hope that they will not ask me for it.

I actually went to apply yesterday for my year extension and they told me to come back a week before my visa expired, I still have a month till it expires. They weren't interested much to look over my docs because they were just to busy. I'll be heading back to the immigration in 3 weeks or so and will post the exact docs I had to use from the mabtaput imm office for anyone who will be extending there visas there.

Quoting from one of my previous posts, "I was requested to supply this document when I went to Suan Plu last month. Like the OP, they accepted the extension application pending approval but asked me to drop off the document the following week. Luckily, the Amphur where I registered my marriage is close to where I live, as when the Amphur did the check online and found no record of my marriage, they had to locate the actual register in which the marriage was recorded and make a copy of that. I was married 22 years ago and my information had not been input on the system. The lady kindly said that she would do that for me very soon so next year I should be online, woo hoo.

The registrar who signed off on the copy at the Amphur was a royal pain, but that is beside the point.

People like me, who registered their marriages a long time ago may find themselves in some bother. Lets say you married in Chiang Mai but are now living in Bangkok. If your marriage data has not been entered online, it would require a trip back to the amphur where you registered your marriage in Chaing Mai to obtain the required document."

I would go down to your local Amphur and simply ask for a copy of the said document. They will then check online and if available, they will simply print it out and certify it for you. Unfortunately, as I have said before, if your data is not yet online it will mean a trip back to the Amphur where you registered your marriage to obtain a certified copy of the actual registry extract. This is the page that you and you wife signed as well as witnesses.

Hopefully, you were not married too long ago in which case there is a high likelihood of your data being available online from your local Amphur.

Yes you can and, yes you will have to return to the place where you registered your marriage.
