Residence certificate from Canadian Embassy?
As OP, let me explain: when I factored in taxis to and from CW and the price of the COR it was not cheaper than the Embassy and much less convenient, especially because I lived within walking distance of the Embassy and there was no online appointment system back then for CW. Things have changed. Thanks for the link. Now, a few things: 1. What exactly do I need to get the COR at CW? I hear I need a TM30. Anything else? Lease? Utility bills? What's this about a map? 2. What relevance is my visa stamp, as some posters are referring to? I have an OA retirement extension. I got it at Surat Thani - Koh Samui where I was living recently, and it says that on the stamp. Is that a problem getting the COR at CW? I'm now living back in BKK. 2. Is it true the COR is only good for 30 days? Remember, this is for a drivers licence. A problem might be that apparently it can take a month to get an appointment at the DLT for the licence renewal. So maybe I have to get the appointment first, then run up to CW for the COR. -

You can easily avoid that by not going to those areas, or even if you do go to those areas , just walk away when things get boisterous -
