This is just a warning for Belgians that want to get a retirementvisa from the Thai Embassy in Brussels : the rules changed this month, and you can now only get the retirementvisa with all the requirements (money blokked and so on).

Until now you could get a non-immigrant only by giving a letter with the amount of your pension on it.

This is finished!

So, as I have no time before I leave to do all the formalities that they ask, I got a double entry tourist visa (free....I am happy!!!!!!).

Ok, I have now 6 months to find a way to stay longer.....as I have my house there.

Good luck to all!

The non immigrant OA (long stay) has always required financial means as well as police check and medical. This visa allows a one year stay on entry. It seems that there is no change?

The non immigrant O visa is for "other" travel and only allows 90 day stay. A multi entry version allows on year of such stays. These types of visas are no longer issued for reason of checking for retirement? Are they issued to visit Thai family?
