ronthailand
What travel documents are needed for Thai citizens to visit neighboring countries via land crossings? Is a Thailand Passport 'required' for travel to Cambodia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Laos?
samran
yes, especially if flying. Land borders require either a passport, or if Malaysia or Laos, a border pass can be issued on the spot for three day, two night short trips to the neighbouring province. For Cambodia, border passes are only available for those who live in the Thai province immediately bodering Cambodia.
