Everything seems to have gone wrong for those of us who invested in the early days of property sales on the island:

1) The local land office won't transfer or upgrade any land title where there is a whiff of foreign involvement.

2) The current demand for property on the island (save for expensive beach front land for resorts) is zero.

3) The island's future reputation as a place to buy property is in the process of being shattered by the spectacular failure of the island's major developers to provide either the land or houses they sold at the height of the property market.

Anyone got any good news? at the moment Koh Phangan is looking like a 'property wasteland'

Are there bargains to be found there on account of that?

just wait until all the banks that have loaned the money for these failed projects start to go under. best keep your cash under the mattress!

on a totally different subject, has anyone seen that new building project on the beech across from Annada in Wok Tum? and when i say 'on the beach' i'm not joking, it's about 10cm from high tide line. i thought there was a limit of 12m from the sea for buildings

there will be a restaurant for the new small resort with 7 AC bungalows on the other side of the street, just next to the also new builded Hinkong Resort, which serves nice food (little expensive, tasty pizza) but good kitchen. This one is actually on sell if you are interested ;-)

That restaurant is also to near the beach according the local police! Just wait next december storm. I guess people just learn that way.

Disturbing. Hope a storm. My guess is they thinking the tidal line, from where you can build something, is on the barrier reef, couple of hundred meters away...
