Hi got second double entry visa in laos on the 10th of this month, stamped back into L.O.S on the 11th. The enter before date is the 9th of december, But by my math it should be the 9th november!. Anybody! :) .

The enter before date is correct. 3 months. But this is usually only for single entry tourist visas. With a double entry you should have got a visa validity of 6 months.

The enter before date on a visa issued in Laos will be 90 days from date of issue. The permitted stay on a tourist visa entry will be 60 days (for most people) from date of entry.

So the stamp seems right to me.

Laos does not provide six months for a two entry tourist visa - it is the same as single entry.

OK, I stand corrected, sorry.

But the OP has to be careful if he makes use of a 30 day extension of current stay if he still needs to utilise the second entry.

You are confusing the date the visa has to be used by and the permission to stay date. You say you were stamped into Thailand on 11th Sep. The permission to stay stamp in your passport should say 9th Nov (60 days). You can then extend your stay at immigration for 30 days. That takes the permission to stay through to 9th Dec. BUT you has to activate the second 60 day period on your tourist visa before 9th Dec. That means leaving Thailand and re-entering the country by 8th Dec at the latest. You will then get a new 60 day permission to stay which can then be extended by 30 days by going to immigration. Total stay = nearly 6 months.

The 90 days is for using visas for entry - you can enter for 60+(about 29) exit/enter second time for 60+30.

You just have to make that second entry while the visa is still valid.

No, the 9th of December is correct.

You are confusing the fact that you will only receive 60 days on arrival with the validity of the visa.
