Does anyone know where to find a reasonably good room in Naklua for around 400-600 Baht a night with internet connection in the room?

Chinnaphat Place. soi 16 750bht a day or 7000 per month, the best there is for the money

any recommendations from previous tenants re things like return of deposit noise hassle from BIB locals

Romeo Palace hotel. A bit dated, 550 a night with breakfast, good pool, fairly good wifi, staff ok, good spot in Naklua. I stayed there a couple of weeks ago and at that price you can't grumble.

Google it or look for it on Asia rooms, I had the card but it has since gone awol.

I've lived there 2 times so far (10 months) and I'm back in November again....it's the best place I lived in so far
