riptorin
Just got wind that the visa laws have again been changed. Can it be verified that you no longer can get a back to back tourist visa? This means we can no longer leave thailand and get the 2 month visa and come back, its a onetime deal and then your out of here? Truth or bull#@^$? Anyone? Those attempting to live in Thailand on tourist visa's, or those working while here on tourist visa's will find that life gets tougher.

As always it will depend which Embassy/Consul that you apply through. Regardless of what you are issued it is still at the discretion of the Immigration Officer at point of entry - this applies to any country that you enter and are not a citizen. It is easiest to get a visa that reflects what you want to do - 2 week holiday 2 times a year - visa exemption. Stay 2-3 months to travel around the LOS get a tourist visa. You want to stay long time 3+ months then get a Non-O or Non-OA if you are eligible. Thailand has the right to control their borders and immigration issues in a manner that suits them just as other countries do. MHO. MJ
MacWalen
So far have not seen a definite answer as it is a relatively new development. We will need to wait a little for reports. My guess is that if someone does not have many tourist visas back to back that still should be OK, but if someone has been on tourist visas for the last 1-2 years (or longer) then they might be having some problems getting a new one. The law does not seem to be specific enough. It will be left to the interpretation of visa officers it seems. Lets wait what visa runners will say, some reports should start coming soon so we will know for sure.

ThaiFelix
I'd say because there isnt any decent info past the first page. The rest is people attacking each other re working on a tourist visa etc. Thats why I came to this post hoping for info too. Guess its wait and see and hopefully it will come with a new post to let us know before it gets swallowed up by the whingers.

ikebukuro5
The other thread on this is of no value. Anyone has any facts to substantiate this rumor? Key Visa and my lawyer told me it's not true.
