By The Nation Published on September 22, 2009

His Majesty the King's fever has subsided, but he still lacks an appetite, the Royal Household Bureau said yesterday.

His team of physicians continued to issue him antibiotics and intravenous fluid, the Palace said in its second statement.

The beloved 81 year old monarch has been undergoing medical care at Siriraj Hospital after developing a fever and fatigue last weekend.

Many well wishers went to the hospital to leave a message for a speedy recovery in the albums provided by the bureau.
