Looking For Two Motorbikes...

Featured Replies

Hi

We would like to travel with my friend around the Thailand and next countries

on motorbikes. We're currently living on island on the south, riding on 125cc scooters.

I'm experienced driver, my friend tried it once without feeling any problems.

We won't travel a lot, just slowly move from one place to another trying avoid

highways (boring), may be 200km per day.

I'm thinking about some V-twin enduro around 400-600cc of course with

green book, plates and good condition. (givi) top-case welcomed !

Budget for this action is not limited, but if it didn't reach 100.000 Bht/each we will

be lucky :)

Suzuki V-strom 650 will be nice, but it's almost new type, but we like motorbikes

like this 2 cylinders enduro's..

We'll travel alone on motorbikes, but nobody knows what happend in thailand and

may be we share the 2nd place with..

Looking for two of motobikes for buy and for any important information about our

trip (for example baord crossing) - THANKS ! We plan own the motorbikes on our

names, do we need some special Visas ?

See ya on the roads !

V strom 650's and 100k ??

Closest is a 150k HLX or D-Tracker (both under powered) or a 180 - 200k second hand ER6..

What borders do you intend to cross.. The 3 northern neighbours are not easy Laos and Cambo can be done with research.

I know a hard-core SE Asia off-road biker who's had lots of enduros, etc. He just got a KLX250 and it looks great.

With your budget and stated intent to ride into Laos and Cambodia the Kawasaki KLX 250 should definitely be at the top of your list:

149,900 Thai Baht new and there are some used ones for sale here and there.

Thinking of getting one myself actually :)

Happy Trails!

Tony

Basso, what do you say to the yellow 650 Suzuki twin here on TV? 82 k, I think

I know you can handle the odd field path on a normal street bike.

Enjoy your trip, if you want a new bike, check out the Tiger 250 RS new for 72 k Baht.

Or a CBR 150, which you can sell for 15,000 less when you are done. Sell it in a day!
