Advertised Visa Services

Featured Replies

A business is advertising visa services in a local newspaper at 30000 baht and a Thai bank account for a retirement visa and 25000 baht if you have a Thai spouse, does anyone still fall for this when the true cost is 1900 baht if you do it yourself, i suppose some must or they would not keep advertising every week.

It would be scam if they did not deliver.

Some people like to have this done by somebody else, because they don't have the time themselves, don't like to get involved with things like this, believe in the principle: I help you, next time you help me, or for whatever other reason.

I think for a service like this they are expensive, but if people are willing to pay that and know in advance what they're going to get: no problem.

There are businesses providing mentioned visas at these prices for those who dont have income or sufficient funds in thai bank.

Twelve to fifteen times the actual cost is definitely expensive, and if you meet the visa requirements( money in the Thai bank etc)there is no problem dealing with the immigration police yourself, i have never had a problem. If you go early in the morning it takes no more than 1 hour when i have gone. could it be people using this service do not meet visa requirements.

Yes, could be, or it could be that not everybody is like you and wants to do it himself? easy or not easy, some poeple don't want to do things like this themselves for several reasons.

Your DIY approach means not only 1900 but also 800k in the bank for 3 months.. I strongly suspect the advert (which I havent seen) is providing 'alternative' :) ways to get a long stay visa / extension.

Lets not forget that the single under 50's who are not into marrying and dont need to work have no real visa.. Many of those guys appreciate being able to make a payment to get the visa even tho its not without risk.
