Small boats and speedboats also stopped going out to the sea.

in KPG very small rain, sea is 4-5, wind 20/25 knots in the morning, less in the afternoon, actually a meteo day like many others.

Until now absolutely no danger of flash floods or landslides

must be looking at a different forecast to me. wind guru seems to be saying the rain has mostly finished. and it was a pretty whimpy amount too, at least at my house.

i wonder when the real rains are going to start. i want to do some gardening.

speaking of which, this island is such a rip off for garden supplies. i only buy in surat now. grass (the lawn kind, not the smoking kind) is 60b/m2 here and 20b/m2 in surat, bougainvillea plants, 100b here, 50b surat. if you have a pickup you can easily save 5000b on plants by visiting surat.

island life!

so tourists are not people? i'd actually suspected that for some time :)

Just a quick question.

I'm going diving tomorrow and we are going out on a speed boat. Are the speed boats choosing not to go out or have they been advised not to? Its lovely and sunny here at Namuang, Samui at the moment although it rained heavily last night.

Where's Connies? I'm living in Samui at the minute. Went diving today and the sea was not too bad at all and still hardly any rain here which is good :)
