October 13, 200916 yr Most of the "whitening" products sold don't work or are just a more expensive form of sunscreen. Some may work but contain harsh chemicals which damage the skin. Best thing to use is just a very high potency sunscreen. Look for one that is water resistant and SPF over 20. If you use it consistently on all the sun-exposed parts of your skin, for sure you will become fairer. If you want an idea of what shade you can obtain just by blocking out sun rays look at the parts of your body that are never exposed to the sun. That is your natural color without the effects of sun-light and what you can, with care, get for your face and everywhere else. Not that I understand why people would want whiter skin, I don't, but I realize it is a strong preference among most Asians. Meanwhile naturally pale Westerners all want to have a tan!
