Hello,

Does anybody know if there is a RC helicopter shop in Koh Samui?

Thank you

What are you after? Purchasing one or spare parts?

In Chaweng, on the road from the thai market to the ring road, some 200/300 meter before the traffic light, on the left side, a small shop with helicopters.

The concessionary shops in Tesco's and Big C have some, but I don't know if you're looking for more expensive ones.

I'm pretty sure i've seen one, a better one than Tesco's, between Nathon & Ban Makham on the Beach Side of the Road..

From the glance when i passed in the Car, it had Aeroplanes & decen sized Planes too.. :)

There is a hobby/toy shop opposite Makro that has remote control helicopters, cars, boats, submarines etc. Not huge but a reasonable amount of stock.

That's the road that goes from lamdin market to the traffic lights at the ring road junction between the two petrol stations. They used to also fly on some waste ground by the lake, accessed either from the ring road or the road that goes towards Chaweng from Tesco. Listen when you pass and you will hear them if they are flying

They also show the big chopper some company used some time ago to take aerial photographs. A real bad boy

Very hard to fly them things. first one I bought,a little indoor one ended up in the ceiling fan, ripped to shreds.

The second one, well suffice to say, had to get a fisherman to retrieve it. You have to spend a lot of time on the simulator :)

Go see Joe (Pongpeera Chaiyaseth) at 88/2 Bangmakham

Shop is on left side coming from Nathon.

It is set back from road so if you are driving too fast you might miss it.

He has an extensive assortment of R/C equipment and is very knowledgeable.

Will also teach you to fly.
