Thaiordie
First of all great site, very helpful. My question is I will be heading to Thailand - Phuket in June with a friend. Our plan is to hopefully find a business either a bar or guesthouse or perhaps something else.We have been there many times before. What is the best Visa to apply for as I think I can only apply for a multiple entry tourist visa as we don't have something set up yet which rules out a non immigranrt B visa. I have duel nationality Irish and American passports, so I'm wondering is there a way to swap these around when I re-enter to stay longer, or do I have to leave the country every 60 days and re-enter on the next visa. Also any-ones thoughts on doing business in Thailand would be very welcome. Also is the Thai - American treaty where Americans can own 100% of a business something worth looking into. Any iformation very welcome
lopburi3
You could probably obtain a non immigrant O visa from a small Consulate and if valid for one year that would allow 90 day stays. As for 100% ownership - 100% of nothing is still nothing. Be careful. Many have traveled down your road and most have not done well.
