I saw no one harassing any elderly customers, there were actually two guys attacked, which I forgot to add in the OP, both very drunk, but they had paid their bill & from what I could see were in the process of leaving. One of them was already outside, the other on the floor getting the shit kicked out of him. The 'outside' guy saw this, went to come back in to help his friend & was whacked several times with the baseball bat himself. Disgraceful behaviour, totally unprovoked. Two young guys basically ambushing two much older & very drunk guys. Fortunately, the second guy didn't go down & was allowed to get his friend up & out of there. Simple as this, if you don't like drunks, you shouldn't be in the bar game. In all the years I have lived in Thailand, I have never witnessed anything as shocking as this.

Although this has been aired before and tagged as closed, having just returned from Buriram I wanted to have my tuppence worth.

Firstly, please dont think that all English or indeed Londoners are of this ilk, there are good and bad in all nationalities, the "Cockney Mafia" is a joke.

As to this incident, the majority of previous opinions are so correct, this type of behaviour by a bar owner, should not and cannot be tolerated, IMHO the expats in the area should vote with their feet and drink somewhere else, there is never any excuse for this cowardly behaviour.

As to those who seek to defend the bar owner and his baseball bat mate, you are talking <deleted>, the guy is a thug.

I don't know what happened, so can someone please tell me what originally happened. I was in Buri Ram last week and went past the international bar, there were only a couple of people in there, and a guy pulled up in a pick up truck, he had cropped hair andlooked like a wannabe hard guy, was this Mark.I know that the bar is up for sale, is this the reason.Here is my offer, I have run bars in england for 20 plus years, if mark wants out, I WILL GIVE HIM 1OO,000 BAHT,to be on his way.If he is intersted pm me.

The bar in question is indeed for sale. 1.7 million as it stands,as advertised in the Pattaya Mail. Don't really see what there is in there worth that sort of money. Still cheaper that the 10 million for the Irish Bar!!!!
