In the time that this thread has been running, have the police changed their report to reflect that the dead man committed suicide?  :o

Hmm, where the police involved in the murder/suicide?

No!

No!

Hint: Police are not a factor!

The man was supposed to cut his hand off and put it in the briefcase? :D

Or was it supposed to be, erm, another body organ? :o

YES! ..... he was supposed to cut off his arm (not just the hand)

excellent! :D

Are we supposed to find out why as well?

That was the whole idea from the start -- to uncover the circumstances and the whys and wherefores etc.

We're not far from there.

Focal point now should be:

"The man was supposed to deliver his left arm in the briefcase to the people living in the house. We know he handed the briefcase to the woman, who was a part of the group in the house.

Instead of delivering his arm, he gave money, lots of it -- to possibly and probably pacify the recipients of the money and to have them fully accept it.

They obviously did not accept it!

So he was followed, probably cornered, bundled into a van or something and taken to the junkyard and killed"

-------

Why? What's with the donation of an arm? What could possibly be the circumstances that would engender such bizarre actions?

Did the man lose a bet to the people in the house?

No! actually irrelevant. There was no bet. As we have established thus far, he failed to honor his part of the bargain -- i.e. to deliver his arm in a briefcase.

What would then be a logical "next" question, if this fella was supposed to give up his left arm?

did he cut off his right arm?

was he looking for something in the junkyard?

No!

No!

Is he left handed?

Was the man trying to save someone's life?

Was there something important at the junkyard?

If the people in the house were muslims and the man had stolen something from them punishment would be cutting of the hand. However in islam it is the right hand that get cut first.

Was there a tattoo on his left arm?

No!

Hint #5:

Did the occupants of the house each have one arm missing? YES!

No! not muslims.

That's a rough way to answer the question of one hand clapping.

Did he get a crazy chain letter from these people?

Did he die in the same night?

Was he killed by a single-armed man?

Did he knew his killer?

Did he felt guilty?

If the occupants in the house also had their left arms missing and the man was supposed to deliver his left arm to them wouldn't it stand to reason that they were some sort of group, albeit a bizarre one?

What sort of event or incident could have possibly occurred in the past that would lead upto today's episode?

was the killer the single-armed husband of the woman?
