"Louis Tussaud's Waxworks is on the third floor of Royal Garden Plaza in Pattaya City and open daily from 11am to 11pm. Tickets cost Bt300 for children, Bt400 for adults and Bt600 for foreigners. Ripley's World of Entertainment ticket holders get a 50-per-cent discount. Call (038) 710 294-8 extension 334 or visit www.RipleysThailand.com."

I might understand the double pricing for National Parks etc. , but this one?

In addition I think the pricing is really on the high side. (especially for children). Farang children seem to get no discount....lol

600 bt ? I have never been there in the 8 Years I have lived here, and have no intention of going.

The one in Blackpool UK was good, so I say if you seen one, you've seen them all.

I've been living here for many years now and i certainly feel discriminated against when dual pricing occurs.

I just refuse to pay the extra foriegner fees out of principal, it's the only way to contribute a way to stopping it.

The wax museum is a new attraction. I won't be going either. Its a tourist trap, let them pay the 600 baht.

I think the ' Believe it or Not' museum is great. I've been several times over the years. If you pick up a free copy of the publication ' Pattaya Traveller'; that is the slim booklet measuring 8 1/2 inches by 3 3/4 inches you will get discount coupons for Ripleys.

I have not been to the waxworks yet, but I doubt if there is a Chamber of Horrors although there should be.

I will report back when I have been inside and examined the waxworks.

I have been in the Horrors place close to the Waxworks.

I ran so fast I never saw anything, I just remember a guy covered in red Blood / paint / dye chasing after me with a Chainsaw.

Fun I suppose but if you have a weak heart, give it a miss.

No plan to go there either.

Anyway one Thai friend told me, that many people from BKK came down to see it.

Pricing is not only to high but also foreigners need to support company's that having same price policy for Thais and foreigners and ignore company's that still get away with this absurt two line policy.

If you think the price is high in Pattaya, check out the prices for Madame Tussauds in London, OMG!!!! :)

Any reports from people who have been to both places? I reckon the London place is much, much better.

I remember people making similar arguments about the Bangkok shopping mall aquarium which is a very minor aquarium by world standards. They were saying it is cheaper than your home country. I checked it out and the farang price at that small aquarium was similar to the price for both the Atlanta aquarium (biggest in the world) and the Monterey Bay Aquarium, California aquarium (best in the world).

To be fair the Brad Pitt dummy is a dead ringer for George Michael - worth every satang

So you mean we must not go in all Walt Disney parks ?

Disney World in Florida (or is it Disney Land ?) use dual pricing too !

Foreigners pay more than Florida residents... :)

Not 100% true - Florida Residents (with proof of ID) get discount - while others (foreigners and residents of other states) pay the regular price. This to encourage locals to go to DisneyWorld more then once in a lifetime. SO it is clear that Disney's policy (including Disneyland in Calif, 6 Flag Magic Mountain, and Legoland) IS NOT discriminatory :D

A Thai drivers licence might get you in on Thai price, I was once successful in Phuket Zoo & Nongnuch Garden because of the Thai divers licences.

Somebody here in Patttaya gone to other places to Thai prices due to local licence?

So to be fair Disney's policy of giving local residents a discount to go these places is not discriminatory BUT for businesses here in Thailand to give the locals a discount is discriminatory? Double pricing is double pricing. The argument you make for Disney's could be applied here in Thailand exactly as stated for Florida.

Funny the only two places who refused Thai price with my licence were nong nooch and the yellow sumbarine .

I walked past 2 days ago, and enquired. On production of Thai driving licence they will let u in at Thai price. But i still hate the concept of double pricing.
