I am looking to replace my D-Link modem router. I use Buddy Broadband. I am not sure whether it is best to just get another modem router or just a router and use the Buddy Broadband modem. Which is easiest to setup? I would like to future proof the purchase by buying a router with draft n. Its important that it is easy to setup and the English language helpline support is good. I have had a look at the comments by buyers on Amazon and all the routers suffer from the same problem: either setup is a breeze (for about 70% of people) or a complete nightmare for the remaining 30%.

The router will be used by 2 laptops, a pc and two phones.

That sort of ratio is typical for Amazon; if idiot-proofing of consumer goods is 70% successful that's a fair track-record for the manufacturers.

Mind you, XP is less helpful than 7 :)
