Another Farang Murdered

or even Combat 18

Yes of course, my apologies for not being up to date on the far right in the UK but at this time in the morning... I should have counted the letters in the alphabet.

1=A for Adolph

8 = H Hitler

Nice to know you are in favour of random killing, though tough about someone

"back home" charged with murder just because he killed someone with a knife.

Don't what the worlds coming to when you can't stab someone to death without the police getting involved!

I'm not up to date on the far right either, but combat 18 is a well known group of a.ssholes, hence I knew the correct name for it.

I didn't say anything in my post at all about being in favour of random killing, but I certainly would defend myself with a weapon if need be.

And the point about someone who stabbed someone with a knife was that the use of weapons in a fight will often cause murder when murder wasn't intended.

Perhaps you should re read the post I made :o

i always have to laugh when people pull out the 'thai custom' thing -thais have become as loutish as cockey lager hooligans. thais are very supersitious -not religious. buddhism has all but been swept from the nation. just seems to get worse and worse each year and the thais only have themselves to blame. just a bunch of peasants -what do you expect? men are in a chronic state of drunkeness.

if i were a thai woman i would NEVER marry a thai man unless he had grad from uni and/or chinese.

Sounds like when he fell on the glass he must have rolled over ten of fifteen times and slashed his own throat, face, neck, and back as well as cracked his ownskull. Then got on his motorbike after having learned a lesson that Thai people dont like being treated badly. Then when he realised that he was actually dead and on his way to wherever....... he must have put the bike down near the village entrance. Then the Thai guy got scared of the ghost from the guy and ran away to hide for 24 hours before reporting the accident to police.

Should be resolved quickly and with justice dont you think ?

Who would believe the story of a murderer?

Is anyone out there a village specialist who would know if the victim's wife's family would seek retribution?

This goes on in the backwoods in th USA as well. It is just that a large portion of Thailand is similar a very small portion of the USA, and I am sure England and Europe as well.

Not only in Thai custom. If some pisshead in the UK hit me over the head in the pub I sure as h*ll gonna give it to him with whatever comes handy. If he dies in the process, well tough luck.

I wonder if you could possibly let us know of the pubs you frequent in the U.K. and I do mean all of them so we can give them a wide berth?

You know, just in case we catch you on a bad day nice to know that morons are still in plentiful supply back in the U.K.

No doubt you are also a supporter of the BNP and how about memebrship of Combat 19?

I don't frequent any pubs in the UK. I ain't British either so don't know really what you're on about BNP and Combat 19.

Also don't understand why you call somebody a moron if he hits back when attacked for no reason. Normally that's called self defence.

In your way of thinking for example a woman that fights of a rapist and kills him in the process would automatically be qualified by you as a moron. Big help you will be to your other half if she ever runs into trouble and some di*khead smacks her in the head for no apparent reason.

I ain't British either

Never mind with an attitude like yours you will qualify as an honory member of the thug squad that terrifies most normal people in city centres in the UK after about 10 pm.

Dear me, people like you terrify me would you like to tell us just how many human beings you have " wasted"?

Never wasted anybody and usually get along fine with either thugs or intellectuals like yourself.

Both require a different approach though; thugs usually respond well to a

simple " get the fukc outta my face" while intellectuals require the more refined smack in the face to wake up to reality.

Add these factors and you may see that the situation was not helped by the farang.

Village mentality

The fact that a farang has married one of 'their' women

Alcohol

The farang touching the Thai man's head

The farang getting angry

Such factors are very minor in a civilized culture and may result in telling the guy to <deleted> off. No excuse for killing the guy.

Most foreigners would not expect such a savage response.

Wondering if this guy's behavior is that of a typical Thai man in this situation?

Who would believe the story of a murder?

ANyone village specialists out there who would know if her family would seek retribution?

It's important to remember that villages are highly variable in the kinds of people that live there ... in all ways ... from ethnic origins to how they deal with this kind of situation. Some villages would for sure think about retribution here especially if the farang was well liked, some villages would be apathetic about it and most I think would do their best to see the culprit arrested and dealt with legally as indeed most village farang would do if the victim was one of their neighbours.

We had a situation in the next village from mine where a young guy from Essex got set apon in the karaoke - his wife did not respond well to being told by a local that the only reason she had money was that she sold her p---y. She actually started the fight and it ended up with my wife's cousin telling the Essex guy he had a gun and was going to shoot him if he didn't leave. I know the cousin 'Lek' well and he did this to 'save' the farang. The ringleader in this ended up at my house with a gun at 2.00am thinking that the Essex guy lived here and I had a job explaining to him that there was only me there. He left but was escorted back the next day by Lek who insisted I get the Essex guy to come so that the ringleader could apologize ... which he did - even though the wife hadn't helped matters the previous night. Lek had more loyalty to the farang in this than the Thai as he saw the farang as a villager from HIS village. It's a bit like football - a fan of your team is a fan of your team no matter what colour he is! Had I or the other guy been shot there would surely have been retribution from the younger villagers and an effort to see justice was done by the elders.

I like the elder's way of doing things. :o

So we can take it you are one of the "intellectual" camp then?

I have no idea where you live but I hope it is a long way from where I do.

I can see you now on your night out saying to someone "Oi, you looking at my woman?"

When you get a negative reply you say "Why something wrong with her then?"

Ah, the intellectual approach works every time, do tell us do your knuckles ever get sore, not from fighting but when they drag on the ground when you are walking upright?

Sure they do but that's still more preferable than the bending over that is required in order to enjoy your abuse. At least next time when you bu*ger off your keyboard try taking the thumb out of your as* first.

It would seem that this red raw meat diet is not agreeing with you, may I suggest you go back to eating bananas same as your relatives do?

Can't wait for the day when these village guys direct their anger towards the culprits of their poverty. I quite fancy throwing a brick at certain windows downtown... :o

AIS payment center?.... AirAsia booking agency?? Branch studio of ITV???

Well it's a joke isn't it? All these people who say we farang don't have to deal with it because we can go home are having a laugh ... I've got three kids here and a wife plus all her cool family and I'm not bloody well going anywhere - I live here and I have every right to be as piised of as a Thai geezer at this ridiculous state of affairs.

:D

Have you been back in the states recently?

People are being killed for "cutting off" another person in traffic on the freeway.

Then we had that teenager who beat a friend to death with a baseball bat because he was angry that his "friend" had been talking to his girlfriend.

Not that those actions are any defence of what the Thai did. There are crazy people all over the world. I just hope I can stay away from them.

CMguy,

The attempt to escape is the same??

I never heard about farangs, dying in police-custody, any examples?

Patex

What I meant by my previous post is that in my opinion laws are not enforced equally for farangs.

Now don’t get me wrong I have observed equal opportunity to “donate” to the “Policemans retirement fund” to avoid minor infractions just like the average Thai, however when it comes to more serious or high profile crimes it would appear ( from my observation) that the average Thai citizen has a slight advantage. With the noticeable exception of certain ethnic minorities.

Now where I am from Laws are normally enforced equally . Of course much like Thailand ethnicity, wealth and connection often make a big difference. Country of origin usually has no bearing.

If this Thai man wanted to kill this farang, he would kill him anyways. The "impolite" and "slap on the head" could play some role in it, but I think this farang was to be killed regardless. The Thai man and other villagers know this farang man, I guess. This Thai man may want to hurt the farang for a while already.

The big danger i see in my village is jealousy.

I danced with a girl one time at a party. I didnt ask her to dance. I was

just dancing alone and she started dancing with me. Anyways Thai BF comes

over swinging and I was in a battle that could have been a main feature on a

UFC telecast.

Later the girl was beaten to a pulp, and i mean he must of used a baseball

bat on her. Police didnt care, called it a family problem.

Now i dance alone :o

Yes, back in the States now, absolutely beautiful weather, peaceful, easy living, great food and WINE.

Oh yes, the incidents you mention are isolated cases fully prosecuted vs routine behavior apparently condoned in Thailand. Big difference. Civilized vs uncivilized is how you sum it up.

Thailand is much more violent per capita, especially gun violence.
