Hi Everybody,

This is my first post so I'll apologise in advance if this is a really stupid question but here goes. I'm coming to Thailand on holiday on 2nd January and whilst I am there, my favourite team, Manchester United will be playing 3 games, which I would like to watch on TV. I am staying at the Marriott in Phuket, so it would be really helpful if you could recommend somewhere in the area where I can watch the games.

Thanks

Phil

Welcome to the Forum Phil..

Forstly, we get every Premiership Game here Live, if we have the right Packages, many Bars do have..

But my personal experience of Phuket & Football isn't that great, i remember having many a row there in Bars with people who thought they knew better than me ( how dare they :) ) about what Channel my beloved Hammers were on & at what time etc, remember also being in a Gaff, an Irish Gaff, in Patong & having a row about them turning the Cranberries off & outting the Football Commenatry on even though there were about a dozen or so of us wanting the Football & there was only about 13 people in the Bar..

Anyway, i'm sure there are Football Gaffs on Phuket, i just haven't found any decent one's whilst i've been there..

& a quick question Phil, what part of Cornwall/Buckinghamshire are you from ??

As MSingh said Phil. Welcome to the forum. I dont think you will have much problem finding somewhere to watch the game. But there are a few members from down that way that will be able to advise better.

hi

if you are staying at the jd marriott resort in the north of the island (hotel and timeshare place) there is a small shopping and recreational comercial area just up the road from the hotel about 500 metres or so. (you will pass it on the way onto the hotel from the main road) you can walk there or the hotel will ferry you via golf cart (free). they have a pub that shows footy. the coffee shop close by does very good food!

looks like you will have gone back to the uk for the burnley game though, never mind.

cheer

It seems as if UBC are only showing the FA Cup matches on Truesports 1 (Channel 59), at least that's all that's listed on their schedules.

Matches scheduled are

Sat

19.30 Bris C v Cardiff (also on FA Internet site)

22.00 Middlesbro v Man c

Sun

10.30 Reading v Liverpool (Delayed)

20.00 Man U v Leeds

23.15 West Ham v Arsenal

They may be showing matches on their other channels, the only way to find out is to try over the weekend.

Don't bother, it's been postponed due to the bad weather.
