Carrefour I Wish Card

So I have a Carrefour I wish card and every time I do groceries they ask me for it and I take it out of my wallet and give it to them... For the past year...

But why?! What does it do? Do I collect points on it like airmiles or something? Does it enable me to make use of their discounts I wouldn't get without the card?

First and foremost, it allows them to track what you are buying.

I'm told that using the "I wish" card means you get discounts on some items

these are listed in the pamplet/flyer they have at the entrance by the checkouts

if you don't use the wish card then no discount/special price..hhhmmm

I get in the post the pamphlet/flyer to say what is on special offer using the card

Edit: Tesco is better as you get in the post 'cash off' vouchers so can buy anything

I realised that this card was a waste of time a while back, when i shop there and they ask me for it i just say i can't be bothered with it.

I have been wondering for some time whats in it for me, like others I have been swiping the card and seemingly not getting anything to show for it.

I know that by using my Tops Spots card I get the discounted price and occasional cash back, not a lot I know but every little helps.
