Hi sent off for flr(m) visa 3 weeks ago , no payment has not gone out of my visa debit account yet ?

just wondering how long it takes for payment to go out ? i know it can take a while for the visa it`s self to get back to the wife .

If memory serves, the payment is taken fairly soon after the application is received.

How did you send it? Recorded delivery at least, I hope; in which case you can check if it's been received via the Royal Mail Track and Trace.

You could try contacting the Immigration enquiry bureau but they say

If you are calling to ask about an existing application, we can only provide an update or confirm that we have received your documents if:

■you applied more than 14 weeks ago for further or indefinite leave to remain under a category that does not require biometrics; or

■you applied under a category that does require biometrics, and you provided your biometric information more than 14 weeks ago.

hi thanks for reply , yes the application has been received had a letter of them to confirm . its been 3 weeks now and no payment taken ?

IF UKBA have confirmed that they've received the application, then I wouldn't worry about it at this time.

If the 14 weeks point is reached and the payment still hasn't been taken, then contact them to enquire.
