Police hurt in crash

By The Nation on Sunday

Published on January 3, 2010

Two occupants were injured when a police van ran off a Bangkok elevated expressway early yesterday morning.

Corporal Mongkhon Kathang, 24, from Samut Prakan's Bang Phli police station, was driving and Danucha Yooktathat, a senior policeman's son in the province, was a passenger when the van crashed into the edge of the expressway in Phya Thai district near Samsen Wittayalai School and fell on Rama VI Road.

Police said Mongkhon claimed dense fog had caused him difficulty in driving and he might have dozed off. He was booked for reckless driving.

Two power poles were also damaged in the accident.

"He might have dosed off".....

My money's on it being the dense fog that caused it.

It's got to be something other than undue care and attention..

I wonder have they checked if the steering was faulty?

There's no way it could be the fault of the police

Hhhhhhmmmmmmm :)

:):D :D :D :D BiB at their finest. Sounds like he just saw the movie "The Fog" on HBO. It's alive. made him fall asleep and then pushed him off the road. He should have just said it was a ghost.
