I Found This Scrawled On A Toilet Wall...

It's always interesting seeing what people write in bathrooms, I showed it to one thai friend and she said it wasn't rude but her english isn't very good so she couldn't explain it to me. Can anyone here do that?

การที่เราทำอะไรเพื่อคนอื่น ก็ไม่ได้แปลว่า เราคือคนที่ไช่สำหรับเขา อย่าคิดว่าเขาเป็นของเรา เพราะเขาไม่ไช่พ่อแม่ ที่รักเราอย่างจริงใจ

Google translateThat we do for others. It does not translate that. We are the people for their Tsai. Do not think he is us. Tsai parents because they do not. A true love that we ใ.

I appreciate you trying to help, but I too can use google translate and if it had produced something that wasn't utter nonsense, I wouldn't have posted the question on here.

A literal translation of this might not make too much sense, but the meaning is basically "However much you might devote yourself to someone, it doesn't necessarily mean you're the one they want. Don't think it means they belong to you, because they're not like your parents who'll love you no matter what."

Mike_1 has pretty much nailed this, but he got there via steps something like this:

การที่เราทำอะไรเพื่อคนอื่น

Gan ti rao tam arai pheuua khohn euun

If we do something for another person

ก็ไม่ได้แปลว่า

Gaaw mai dai bplaae wa

It doesn’t mean that

เราคือคนที่ไช่สำหรับเขา

Rao khuee khohn ti sam rap khao

We are the person for them

อย่าคิดว่าเขาเป็นของเรา

Ya khit wa khao bpen khong rao

Don’t think that they belong to us

เพราะเขาไม่ไช่พ่อแม่

Pra khao mai chai phaaw maae

Because they’re not a father or mother

ที่รักเราอย่างจริงใจ

Ti rak rao yang jing jai

who loves us truly regardless.

But still just a learner, so open to correction.

Proa khao mai chai phoa maae

Because they're not a father or mother

I think the guy was dumped

I asked my gf to translate before reading the other translations and she said basically what the other translations said. Quite true , especially in a Thai envirionment .

That's weird, my wife translated it for me and here is her take:

"A good falang husband will buy his wife a new mini-cooper and let her shop with credit card all day. He also build new house for Mom and Dad."

I don't know where you guys learned Thai, but my wife assured me of its meaning. Well, gotta go take the wife to Robinson!
