A literal translation of this might not make too much sense, but the meaning is basically "However much you might devote yourself to someone, it doesn't necessarily mean you're the one they want. I asked my gf to translate before reading the other translations and she said basically what the other translations said. Quite true , especially in a Thai envirionment .

That's weird, my wife translated it for me and here is her take:

"A good falang husband will buy his wife a new mini-cooper and let her shop with credit card all day. He also build new house for Mom and Dad."

I don't know where you guys learned Thai, but my wife assured me of its meaning. Well, gotta go take the wife to Robinson!
