Solid Wood Furniture

Featured Replies

any person have any information where to buy solid wood furniture, and information to send to UK,

Go to any of the stall along the street in chalong... They have some stuff and can also make it for you if you have special requests.. .Then go to phuket big move and send it... Easy... Phuket big move is also in Chalong...

If you're buying a lot of teak furniture, don't buy in Phuket. Head up north and buy where all the Phuket shops buy from and save yourself a bundle of money. Doesn't most younger teak crack in Europe unless some sort of oil is applied on a consistent basis?

Hang Dong is a good place but you really need to find a place that uses kiln-dried lumber which is difficult to find in Hang Dong.  I wouldn't recommend purchasing teak furniture in Phuket unless "money is no object".

The reason the lumber cracks is because the moisture content is too high. I think you'll discover that the oil will not help. There are furniture outlets east of Chiang Mai towards Bosang which use kiln-dried lumber & good quality but very expensive.

Good luck!
