Great ideas folks... thanks heaps.  :D

But she definitely wont be getting called "Nong Nat"...  :D

FYI Nong Natt is a very beautiful and famous Thai porn star!  :D

Here's a rare picture of Nong Natt actually wearing something.  :D

Although my teeruk is certainly easy on the eye, she's never been in the movies or glossy mags! :o

Anyway, she had a look last night at that website you mentioned Dara, and has decided that the monk is definitely right and she should not be called Yaow anymore... something to do with the first letter of her nickname (in Thai script) will not bring luck or fortune... :D

Wow Jai Dee, she's a real cracker - I think Rav would be a fantastic name for her as she is definatley Ravishing.

Now that my glasses have de-misted I will put this through the spellchecker. No wonder you call yourself Jai Dee, I would call myself Jai Dee Mak Mak if I were you :D

Chock Dee Na!!

Errr.. I think you might have the wrong idea...

That photo is of Nong Natt (the pornstar) not my girl. :o

As Bini suggested, I like Mali (jasmine) it also sounds like a European name..not that it's good or bad in that respect.

A pretty flower that smells sweet?... that's my girl!!! :D

I suppose "Oz" is out of the question? :D

:o

its amazing how a small thing can be such a big symbolic problem;

in jewish custom if someone is having lots of really bad luck, he/she will consult with a rabbi specializing in geometria (kabalistic numerology) and change their (or child's) name, usually unsing components of the two letters spelling the word 'life' in them (as numbers it is 18); same as if someone had a close encounter with death, they may add a name signifying life etc to their name...fortunately nicknames are not in the same category only given names

we have problems giving our animals names usually using colour, size etc... once did biblical women's names to sheep but the religious folk got insulted so....

yesterday we hand delivered a baby donkey with 400+ people watching from above (at my mini zoo)... when we had got her standing, mother and daughter in to enclosed area etc everyone wanted to know her name so without thinking this time round, i shouted 'pesach' (passover since we are in the middle of that holiday)...

ANYWAY; so what name did you all pick in the end???

thanx chuchok; i love the name mali-- in hebvrew is a girls name w/o meaning (a rarity) but they love it when i tell them what it means in thai....

I think she's got her heart set on "Nat"... but I'm not sure... :D

She seems to be still open to suggestions... :o

My wife's called Pume (Paweenut). I like it. She likes it.

I don't know what it means but you're welcome to use it.

(The English call her Pom - something to do with a children's Television program)
