Need Advice On A Possible Hospital Check Up

Recommended Posts

Hi

Been ill all week and today started with a fever and sickness. I was hopitalised with dengue in Nam last year so may need to make the decision if/when to take a trip to the hospital to have blood tests and a check up. As a scrote and new to the area where can i go as i have no insurance and that is not going to rip me off and provide me with good medical advice.

Any useful advice would be most appreciated.

Go see Dr. Chusak in Kata for advice. Very honest, good guy.

He gets there at 2:00pm, takes a break at about 4 comes back around 5 for a couple hours.

From Kata center take the road up toward the PTT station, he is across the street from the gold shop.

Personally, without any insurance I would only recommend Phuket International Hospital from an outpatient point of view for a diagnosis or whatever. Once they get a whiff that you need to spend some time there, the brown uniformed admin staff start to play a bigger part and the cost soon mounts. Nice rooms though, and a good view along the by-pass road if you like to take your drip out on to the balcony and sit and watch the traffic.

no insurance - mission hospital

insurance - bangkok international

There is no 'bangkok international'. Please clarify what you mean, thanks.

Sorry, bangkok hospital phuket :)

I can recommend the membership Chivawattana, 50% discount on room,......... check homepage for more informations.
