Place To Be On Australia Day?

Featured Replies

G'day Mate

Its that time of the year again when Aussie's celebrate by knocking back a few beers and having thong throwing competitions!

Now question for you. Where is the best place to be for us Aussie's on this most sacred of holidays???

Failing that I'm throwing a nice Aussie Pub Crawl!

Im off to fight the dunny budgies,

Hooroo

hope yr talking about the flip flops and not yr g-strings Jbob :)

have a good one cobber

Anywhere, but Australia...

Maejo Man is right, Australia is a good place to spend Australia Day.

Our tradition is to get together with our Gang (5 couples) for a seafood extravaganza (Crays,Qld tiger prawns, Coffin Bay oysters smoked trouts etc), not to mention a tsunami of variously coloured Australian fine wine, none of that rubbish that makes it's way to Thai lquor outlets. celebrating a national day in foreign parts only leads to sloppy sentimentality.

Not sure I will enjoy as much as Xmas/New Year recently celebrated in Chiang Mai

Kings Park Botanical garden overlooking the Swan River in Perth, take your esky and a picnic relax and have a grandstand view of the festivities. For something more glamous book a table at the revolving restaraunt on St Georges terrace again a direct view.

Wherever you decide let us know and I'll make sure I'm well away from the place, Nothing worse than a bunch of pissed up Aussies making fools of themselves.

The Aussie Bar Patong Beach Phuket Is :)

You would have to be brave to go there. The fool that owns the place will feed you to the police. Stay well away from the place.

I just saw an ad for Kangaroo Bar (they need waitresses if you're interested) at Rimping. They may have an Australia day celebration? I think it is on Chang Klan Rd, just past the lights at Panthip plaza, on the left.
