May 1, 200521 yr Sabotage suspends Songkhla rail services SONGKHLA: -- Rail services in the southern province of Songkhla were temporary suspended early on Sunday, after a group of unknown militants damaged the rail tracks. Nails in the rail sleepers between Baan Koh Saba and Tae Pa railway stations were removed, according to State Railway of Thailand officials. More than a hundred nails from some thirty sleepers were taken by the insurgents who wanted to create further unrest in the region, local officials told TNA. Two train services using the route were suspended and the trains parked at nearby stations while the repairs to the tracks were carried out. The train services were resumed an hour later, rail officials said. --TNA 2005-05-01
