I occasionally enjoy having a foot massage. But I'm not so sure if the towels which are being used are being washed properly which could lead to contracting a fungal infection. Or is this risk negligible ?

What's the solution : bring my own towel with me ?

Don't leave the house Cers, the world is a very dangerous place!! Come on don't be silly. Do you ever sleep in hotels? How would you know if the sheets, towels etc. have been cleaned properly?? Just go and enjoy. If the towel looks unclean than it probably is and you ask for a replacement or leave!

The OP is right. I bet you many fungi are spread that way. But the danger is mild compared to the almost universally unhygienic manicure/pedicure methods in Thailand.

I don't Know if you live in Thailand or just on Holiday , but If you eat Thai food they put a lot of garlic in the ingredients , garlic is natural anti fungal , you can even rub a raw garlic clove on foot infections or cuts it has anti bacterial property's.
