2007 Yaris, What Should My Gas/petrol Per Km Be?

Featured Replies

I have a automatic 2007 yaris hatchback

I'm getting about 270-290km on a full tank of gasohol 95

If I try driving economically I can get about 300-320km

Mind you my AC is always on, and I do half city and half highway driving in bangkok

Does these number sound right to you or bit on the low side?

Sounds a bit on the low side. My 2009 automatic Yaris gets 500+km per tank on non-gasahol 91, and maybe 450 or so on gasahol 95. Also air con always on, but thats negligible really. I'm not sure what you would classify the type of driving on Phuket, not really city, not really highway. Anyway, it's about the same when I drive off the island.

Dont know how many litres your tank holds, lets assume it takes about 30 litres.

Gasohol 95 is what about 32/33 baht per litre, so about 1,000 baht to fill your tank.

Even with a/c on while driving I would expect at least 500 kilos, if highway driving at least 550 kilos.

For 50/50 driving at least 450 kilos, these numbers dont sound right.

I must agree that it sounds too low, by quite a margin actually. You should be able to get 15 to 16 km on the highway, that's around 0.65 liters per 10 km and over 500 km on a tank. Bangkok is anybodys guess, it could be as bad as half that

Sounds extremely low....I average 10 km/l with my toyota viga petrol automatic.

I had a 2006 yaris for 3 years. 42k km. Average 9-11 km/litre. Highway would be 140km/h, around Phuket rather fun driving. Mugen 15" wheels, aircon always on.

OP, how many litres do you fill your tank? tank could be dented. yaris takes approx 38 litres, which for me was good for 350-450 km.

2009 Yaris and I average around 450km per tank so about 12kms per litre. I have 17inch wheels if that makes any difference.

Fill the tank and record the odometer reading. The next time you fill the tank divide the number of liters into how many kilometers you have driven. Then you will know rather than telling us how many kilometers per tank. With mixed driving, you should be getting at least 10 Kilometers per liter. If not, a trip to the dealer would be in order.

12 km litre is doable, but having fun, dancing, drifting rearwheels and powersliding 9km/litre is more like it :)

yaris is fun :D:D

What effect does using air-conditioning have on a car’s fuel consumption?

A: The air-conditioning system on a car is powered by a compressor, which, when switched on, places extra load on a car’s engine. This ultimately has a negative affect on the overall performance and efficiency. You can expect a 5-10% decrease in fuel consumption by switching the air conditioning system off.

Rear wheel drive is it then?

frontwheeldrive, good balance, quick steering and easy to provoke and keep oversteer.

Guys, have you ever felt that you have pretty heavy feet?

OP here...sorry forgot to check this thread after I started it 2 weeks ago

Avg full tank fill up is 31-32 liters

I get about 300km on avg so that puts me in the 9-10km per liter.

I thought I should be getting around 12-14km mixed driving.

At all times I have my wife as a passenger.

Maybe my wife needs to lose a few pounds to hit the expected range :) ?
