What Should The Thai Government Do With Billions 46?

Education,

Indeed, the key for developing a country.

But I guess the high speed train is more likely than schools.

In the next century.

And anyway, I hope the Thai government will give us a follow-up on where they're going to use it... :)

This is the goal of this thread.

What should/will they do with the money?

Even if it is very likely they won't follow our advice.

Too many sticky hands, I think.

But anyway, if you do not give any advice, they sure won't follow it... :)

Use it to repay the taxpayers and then fund an all out legal effort to prosecute those people who authorized the spending 1.4 million each for the GT-200 plastic children's toys.

We successfully prosecuted one scumbag. Let's not stop there. Many more to go.

A comprehensive awareness programme in every province to teach locals that smothering a freshly baked pizza with 3 sachets of tomato ketchup is just plain wrong. I don't know why folks like Pizza Company offer so many toppings. They might as well just make one called the "Tomato Sauce Supreme With Extra Tomato Sauce"

It might be appropriate to fund some project which benefits long-term the whole of Thailand, not just Bangkok, or any one region ?

My own ideas :-

1. Dams, irrigation-projects & flood-control.

2. Road-improvements with tarmac more than 1"-thick

3. Improving electricity-supplies to rural areas.

4. Re-build the whole of the SRT rail-system, not high-speed or elevated, just fit to last for another century

5. Establish a fund to assist with university-fees/living-costs for bright students from poorer families

6. Fund and equip the hospital-system properly

7. then blow the rest on one giant piss-up ! :D :D :)
