Japan bracing for up to 3-meter tsunami by afternoon

Tokyo - A tsunami as high as 3 meters could hit Japan's Pacific coast Sunday following a massive, 8.8-magnitude earthquake overnight in Chile, the Japan Meteorological Agency.

The agency projected that The tsunami could reach Japanese coasts between 1 pm (0400 GMT) to 4 pm.

The agency was preparing to issue tsunami warnings, an agency official told a news conference.

yes, the video is a joke, saw it a couple of times before. The last time when I saw it was yesterday when I searched for info and before it could have hit Hawai.

The USGS will send you notice of earthquakes by email if you ask them to. I had to reset the parameters so they only notify me of quakes that are stronger than 5.0 - just too many quakes everyday but most are little things.

Same here - except I upped my minimum to 6.5.
