I'm a long time resident of Thailand, Phuket and Bangkok, and I was present for the Tsunami there. Today I experienced the Tsunami Warning System on the island of Hawaii after the earthquake in Chile. Clockwork timing, advance warning and evacuation. All countries and agencies can be proud of the way that Hawaiian authorities conducted themselves and the operation today. Ironically, I received my first comms of the potential threat from Thai Visa.Com via email on my Blackberry while sleeping on the Ka'u Coast of the Big Island. Thanks to all.
