Is BKK able to receive HDTV(high definition) sources via dish from other countries?

Have a look at www.lyngsat.com and select the correct area.

You will need to look through the listings for the satellites that can be "seen" from Bangkok...from memory there is a tool to assist in this by clicking on your location, it will give you the real location and allow the calculation of birds that can be seen etc.

You can also try www.satcodx.com

Actually I just had a look and only found stuff on BSAT (Japanese) in HD. There are probably other sources but they don't seem to be listed where I have been looking, and I suspect that they may not be free-to-air, so you would probably need a dedicated set top box to receive them - meaning you have to subscribe.

As far as I know, UBC does not have any HD feeds in it's bouquet.
