May 15, 200521 yr I am British and want to apply for a retirement visa using a monthly income I get from my Business, which is based in Spain I have written confirmation of my income from my Spanish Bank, and Spanish Accountant, but they are all written in Spanish, does any one know if I would need to get some sort of authentication from the Spanish Embassy in Bangkok, and then may be have to get the Spanish Embassy authentication translated into Thai..? , or do you think the Thai Immigration would accept just the Spanish paperwork or the authenticated paper work from the Spanish Embassy with out a Thai translation.....? Thanks BB
May 15, 200521 yr It is always prudent when dealing with the Thai officialdome to get true notorized copies in Thai language that way you won't be disappointed with what efforts you have already made. Of course these are to support the originals not to replace them. T.
May 16, 200521 yr The question is what the UK Embassy will accept and I strongly suspect that what you have will have to be translated into English first. You then have to get a letter from the UK embassy for presentation to immigration. Thai immigration has no interest in trying to figure out your finances - they want your embassy to do that deed.
May 16, 200521 yr I was told by immigration that all supporting documents must be in Thai or English. This was the "decision" of a high ranking immigration officier who intervened when another officier insisted on all my documents being in Thai.
