Transfer Money Out Of Thailand

Featured Replies

I have read if you have money in thailand it is difficult to transfer it overseas?

Is this true.. can i not transfer 1m baht from my thai bank to a gold bullion holding account overseas?

If you brought it in legally, not reason why you cant send it back out very easily...

Usually the banks need passports and work permits to transfer money overseas. If you've got that, it shouldn't be a problem.

YOU need a Workpermit and a Passport ofcourse. Than you go to any Bank and open an Account which alows you to transfers money to overseas.

But you always can use the Account of your Wife, GF or a Thai National Friend. You can bring the money in cash with u and they will transfer it via the account of a Thai. No problems. Done it bevore.

The one time this came up, my wife needed so kind of proof that it was foreign money in the first place. I hate this red dape and confess to being paranoid about it. The Baht is overvalued anyhow...
