cdnvic
Speed dating records set to break in Pattaya By The Nation Published on February 10, 2010 Chon Buri - Mate seeking singles may find their future Valentines - and rapidly - this Saturday in Pattaya City at the world's largest speed dating event. Hosted by the "Ripley's Believe It or Not!" museum and the online matchmaking service "Sanook! Thaimate", the event at the Royal Garden Plaza Shopping Mall may make it to the Guinness World Records by breaking the record for speed dating. It's currently held by the "Dating Cafe GmbH" in Germany's Hamburg City where 252 participants took part in November 2008. So far, some 500 people have registered for the event, already exceeding the targeted number of 253 participants, according to museum manager Somporn Nakseutrong. Those interested in joining can register free of charge through the website www.thaimate.com http://www.thaimate.com/ until Friday, said Sanook Online chief executive Torboon Puangmaha, who also confirmed the participants' personal information and results would be confidential. -- The Nation 2010-03-13 [newsfooter][/newsfooter]
slapout
I would think Pattaya would already hold the record for speed dating. Maybe when Patpong, Nana, and Soi Cowboy are thrown in the rankings may change.

brahmburgers
When they register, do they have to check a box for 'male' or 'female'? ....what about 'other' A bunch of guys might get a quick date partner, but they may also make a quick exit when slow dancing later on, and they feel a pickle where they thought they'd feel a banana pancake. This is what the big boys told us.

cdnvic
Just wonder what is the significances of posting this article that is a month old? The Nation's webmaster is to blame. It was on the front page yesterday so I assumed it must be current. Don't point out that I should have been reading more carefully as that is off-topic
brahmburgers
This one Bruce? A person viewing that photo, who resides in Pattaya, might wonder; "which one is the katoy"?
