Sawasdee Sukhumvit Inn

Featured Replies

Has anybody stayed at this hotel or know someone that has? Planning on stopping there for 4 nights. Any reports?

Also could do with some info about cheap accomodation in Samui in sept. Any ideas?

Cheers....

I stayed at Sawasdee Sukhumvit for a couple of nights when i was in town last year. The location is pretty good, but the place itself really sux. Check out a place called Suk 11 on Sukhumvit Soi 11. Ive stayed there many times. You are not allowed ANY guests at the place in the evenings after 6om though if thats what you are looking for. their website is www.suk11.com.

The owner of Sawasdee Suk. is an absolute tosser as well! Avoid...

"Cheap" accom in Samui - Dream On!

Stayed there some 3 years ago, for 3-4 weeks. Close to skytrain (5min walk tops) and cloe to local foodstands (non-tourist) so the food can be really cheap if you are on a budget. Or really expensive if you visit the Japanese restaurant located next to it...

Had no real problem with the place..cheap prices and still had Q-size bed, satelite tv, fridge, shower, A/C, and so on..

Pie Shop? Suddenly this thread has got interesting.

Nice to see Croosbones in a chilled mood today.

You could try Wendy House on Ga Sam San 1. Most taxi drivers know it, the Jim Thompson house is on the next soi, i.e. Ga Sam San 2. It's across the street from the MBK shopping mall and 3 minutes walk from the National Stadium Skytrain stop. Guests are allowed in at any hour, girls have to leave their ID cards at the desk, this of course is for your protection.

Wendy House is generally full, price is about 600 baht including a simple breakfast, TV, AC, private bath and hot water. 90% of the guests are return guests which says a lot. The entire staff there is excellent and friendly. I used to stay there a few years ago periodically and still often drop in since I know most of the staff there.

Very nice, low key, good location guest house. 02 2141 149
