Great. Midnight, on Beach Road, with an army of plain clothes coppers, and they decide to have a crackdown on Beach Road dangers.

Ignoring the drunks, the drug addicts and the many working girls and scammers, they decide the most dangerous crime to take down is.... a counterfeit clothing operation.

What about the DRUG DEALERS operating right in front of the Soi 9 nick? Or is that to close to home in every sense?

sartorially challenged tourists

Oi! I resemble that remark. :)

Was that pathetic pile of rags and those few carrier bags the sum total of the spoils from this massive raid? Hardly one of the major criminal operations was it?

And I think

but very classy, items

to be more than a stretch of the imagination. I've seen better on the backs of drunken Brits. :D

Maybe these "plain" clothes coppers" (being a conservative bunch) thought the style of clothing being sold was too liberal. Had to be something serious to pull them away from catching the drug dealers, scammers, etc.

These new police bosses are really making an impact on crime in the LoS the arrest of these two international criminals coupled with the Australian drug baron arrested in Phuket for 0.9 grams of wacky baccy must really have the remaining criminals quaking in their flip flops.

Maybe they were just too socialist?

Counterfeit Clothes are they BAD??

20 odd years ago went to a big Factory in Turkey, they made the genuine high end named brand and Counterfeit in the same factory, in their shop I bought 2 T-shirts, logos were in the correct place, I still have them, I still wear them from time to time.. Yes there over 20 years old and still very good + Counterfeit + a fraction of the price of the genuine.

My thoughts then and still now, for the price you can buy 5 or 6 T-shirts new ones for the same price as 1 genuine, Also found that a no name 3-500 baht sandle will last as long as a named 3- 4,000 baht one.
