lannarebirth
THe yellow facists and their paid lapdogs are lashing again at the courageous reds who wanted only to discuss with the military . The reds did not initiate any attacks . If they wanted violence why did they surrender the M16's to the army ?. Enough with the anti-red bullshitt !!!!!! I have a lot of tolerance for people whose opinions I'm opposed to. I have much less tolerance for people who just get off on the noise and mayhem. Ignored, finally. Special thanks to mod sbk for introducing this TV feature to me. Edited April 10, 2010 by lannarebirth
Jingthing
What was the source of the BTS de-railment threat? Live TV. Waiting for the defense of the Red leader's Jatuporn's call to derail BTS from all you die hard Red supporters. Or are the reds true colors finally too much? Why is derailing a BTS train seen as violent by yellow supporters when their own yellow posters are calling for machine guns to be brought out against reds. Hypocritical double standards! Sir, you ain't thinking straight. A red shirt LEADER has called for terrorist actions. The government of Thailand (not PAD, not yellow shirts) led by PM Abhisit has reacted to this violent insurgency (which has now turned terrorist) with amazing restraint. Restraint that would be impossible in most of our home countries, our leaders would have NEVER allowed this violent insurgency to get even as far as it has now. Sure you can find irrational people on the street saying outrageous things like shoot all the reds, but you will hear NO SUCH THING from the legal government of Thailand. Your charge of double standard is completely false. BTW, I support showing as much restraint as humanly possible to disperse the red insurgency/terrorist movement. However if they escalate to lethal force against soldiers and civilians there will be no choice but to respond more aggressively, its called SELF DEFENSE, and totally justifiable. What is your source for a yellow shirt leader advocating bringing out machine guns against the reds? A link would be nice. And if a yellow shirt leader made that statement, they should be arrested as well. I am sick of hearing red supporters justify even terrorist acts based upon the actions of some other group. For example, Osama bin Laden justifies 9/11 because of atrocities in Palestine that have gone without prosecution. That would be his double standard rationalisation. 4223rhodes
Jai yen yen, farang! Geez the moto taxi guys and the army can get along better than you guys can. No need to raise the level! It's ok to be yellow, it's great to be Red!
KireB
Simply sweeping protesters off the streets won't help solve anything. They will simply regroup and come back. Abhisit needs to fix the toilet that's leaking water, not just clean up the water. It will leak again. Well mayb, but the Reds have been exposed again as agressive street hooligans. So I think their support will be dwindling!
LuckyLew
I heard yesterday that there was no arrest warrant issued for Jutaporn because he has immunity because he is a member of parliament? Is this a blanket immunity? Can he be charged with any thing to do with these events today? If it was he who told his followers to attck the BTS stations, can he be charged with anything If not ... that is just silly If not ... he is pretty smart ... telling everyone else to do his dirty work, knowing he cannot be charged with anything If he can be charged, I suggest he might soon be living in Thaksins guest bedroom in Dubai How can a sitting member of parliament go on like this? The prospect of a government run by these red terrorists is horrific in the extreme. You know what you have with Abhisit. With the reds, what are they? Thaksinistas? Maoists? Anarchists? Thailand would be crazy to take that risk with the leadership they have now. khunjamespittman
Today I just witnessed the worse national disgrace and misuse of the military since I watched the East Germans Army trampled their neighbors with similar shields as we just watched on TV. Soldiers are supposed to exist to protect the Country and its citizens. Today we watched as politicians used these soldiers to trample their friends and families and children and monks and all to try to hold the poor and dis-enfranchized Thais hostage to their quest for continued power over them. I won't bother to respond to anyone who would attempt to defend this disgrace. The whole government is responsible for this disaster now. There can be no excuse for this disgrace brought on the country and these soldiers. If they had any integrity they would submit the resignations NOW. Domestic law and order issues should be the domain of the police force, not the military. Let's hope this can start a dialog about what must be done to create a police force that can protect and serve the interests of all Thais.

Jingthing
The problems with the police and the military didn't start with Abhisit. They are structural and long standing. You can't blame Abhisit for that reality. I agree it is a bad situation and need to be changed, but easier said than done, and certainly not something that can be solved quickly. What is his chance to conduct a discussion with opposition? Opposition is normal and acceptable. The PTP could easily have been a powerful opposition party. They aren't. Why? They have no platform to deal with anything ofther than trying to get Thaksin back. The Dems were the only opposition party under the Samak and Somchai governments and did well at being heard by the people.
