Taking The Dog Back To Uk

Featured Replies

I was just wondering whether anybody has tried getting there muts back to the UK. I am thinking of going back and earning some decent money, and i cant bare to leave the bugger here. Although its expensive there has got to be a cut off point! Any suggestions or previous experience would be much appretiated......

A few years ago in a magazine article one couple took a soi dog home and they had to quarantine it for 18 months.

A requirement that should apply to most of the countries (or all) in EU, and the one that demands most planning, is a passed rabies-test.

The dog has to get a rabies-shot, then after 6 months a blood-test is done. If anti-bodys are found, good, the dog passed. If not, the injection and waiting have to be done again. So plan ahead well.

But your local (UK) agriculture-department should have a list of all the requirements for your case.
