Disgraced former MAGA congressman George Santos was sentenced on Friday to over seven years in federal prison after pleading guilty to wire fraud and aggravated identity theft. Santos, 36, admitted to deceiving donors, stealing identities, and misusing campaign funds — actions that led to his expulsion from Congress and national notoriety. Federal prosecutors sought the maximum 87-month sentence, arguing that Santos showed little remorse and continued to downplay his crimes online. -

Maybe it is simpler reason? The been there, done that experience. Once you have visited Thailand for 2 weeks a couple times, the thrill is gone for most people. Vietnam wasn't a go to destination until recently. Now it is. Once tourists have had their fill of Vietnamese pollution and corruption, they will move on, perhaps to Taiwan once it is absorbed back into the mainland, or Myanmar, if the war ends, or even South korea. Japan is already experiencing a tourism boom. -

Trump is opposed to any action against Iran at this time. He is the one opposing direct action. Give them credit for that. The guy is actually trying to stay out of wars. We may not like his strategy or methodology, but that is his core position. He is an isolationist. If there is a trike against Iran, it will be by Israel and it will come with a tradeoff that Israel must unilaterally end the Gaza war once Iran is no longer funding terrorism in Gaza. -
