BMA announces a planned closure of Prachanukul land bridge for maintenance

BANGKOK (NNT) -- The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) has scheduled to close Prachanukul Land Bridge by 6 May, for improvement.

Prachanukul Bridge is the last of the 17 bridges in Bangkok to be closed for maintenance, according to the BMA’s plan. The Bridge is located over the junction of Ratchadapisek and Prachachuen Roads and has been in operation for 17 years.

BMA has scheduled to close the Bridge on the inbound side, from Rama VII Bridge heading to Ratchayothin intersection, during 6 May to 19 June 2010. After that the outbound side will be closed for a total of 45 days from 3 August onward.

For further information, call the BMA hotline at 1555 or the Thai Traffic Police at 1197.
