Hmmmm do you think that the Red shirts will be visiting this function??
THE NATION: Medical staff &affect patients will give their 1st hand account to media at Thailan Journalism assoc tomorrow at10.30am.

I do hope the Powers That Be have enough foresight to heavily guard the meeting rooms, building, and street.

Not that they would ever need protection, of course... :)

from the washingtonpost

In the current round of protests, Thaksin has secretly seeded the Red Shirts in Bangkok with former military personnel, said Viengrat Nethipo, a supporter of the Red Shirts who is an assistant professor of political science at Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok. A number of government officials and independent observers share her view.

Thai police and army forces have seized caches of rocket-launched grenades from the Red Shirts. During the army's failed attempt on April 10 to move the protesters out, several fighters in black uniforms sprang into action on the Red Shirt side, according to videotape evidence.

Autopsies after the shootout showed that high-velocity bullets, many of them fired with precision to the head, neck and chest, had killed and wounded several members of the army, including the most senior officer at the scene. The lethal targeting suggested a high level of military command and control among the protesters.

Leaders of the Red Shirts say they do not know who the black-shirted fighters are or where they came from. Government leaders say that is absurd.

Kraisak Choonhavan, a member of parliament and a deputy leader in the government, said Thaksin's policies benefited rural people. But now, he said, "he employs killer-hunters who come from the military."

Although the stalemate continues in the streets of Bangkok, both Kraisak and Jaran said negotiations between the Red Shirts and the government are quietly underway.

Pretty Damning article from the Washington Post --- gotta link ----?

So, you didn't notice the glaring factual error in this article or you're just conveniently ignoring it?

I think he was referring to the fact that neither Thai Police nor the Army have "seized caches of rocket-launched grenades from the Red Shirts".

I think the article refers to the 63 grenades seized on delivery during the Don Meuang incident and the subsequent arms cache seized from the police sergeant who later confessed to be an arms dealer.

I can understand the Washington Post might have trouble with arms seized by police from the police while the military was shooting the military (later identified as unknown black guard)

Nothing "theater" about the movement of patients. Don't forget - this hospital refused the assistance of the army beforehand. There's a letter from the Chula Director published justifying the decision to move the patents. Check the tweets of tulsathit for a tranlation.

NCFC - Chula stopped refusing new patients due to the logistal issues presented by the protests, hence the previously mentioned chaos with sis-in-law.

lannarebirth re Seh Daeng and Prem - my missus is having none of it! :) Don't forget the guy was photographed with Thaksin in Dubai - there's clearly a bit of a close relationship going on. Still not buying Jutaporn criticising Sah Daeng this evening - they've both demonstrated they're reporting to the same boss.

Neither being a police officer nor an arms dealer means that you are a red.

What about a week or so back when the police women stood off against the monks out front.

They tried to get in, since then the police seem to have a change of attitude...

You are correct. This information, if it is known by authorities, has not been announced. Last word was that an investigation is ongoing. It was a mistake by the Washington Post to print that line. He may be a red, or his clients may be red, but as of know that information has not been made public and we do not know.

No way Chula wouldn't evacuate their patients, i heard that there are only a few high risk patients there that cant be moved but the rest was already discharged or moved to another hospital, I hoped the reds are ashamed of themselves but i guess i was asking for a miracle from the devil

i dunno if anybody has posted this already, sorry if they have but has anybody read the following account to what happened

Pure cunning of the state security apparatus and their army friends portrayed through the media as Red occupation of Chula Hospital. Here's the truth from firsthand accounts, including a close friend currently at the protest site: on the morning of the 28 April the Director of Chula Hospital ordered the moving of patients out of two buildings to other hospitals without any reason. Outpatients was open as usual. In the evening Red Guards asked to check inside the hospital as two security guards at the hospital arrested them and then let them go. However, a group of soldiers ran from the hospital building and crossed the road toward Suriwong Road and later to rejoin an army site situated on Silom Road. Soldiers shot twelve rounds to scare the red guards who in turn then then ran back to the rally site. Morning 29 April, Hospital Director referred to a higher authority requesting to unblock the road and that there would not be any army or police around. The three core leaders (Jatupon, Wiira, and Nuttawut) agreed, even as it was apparent that there were no patients inside since midday the day before. This road is strategically vital because it connects to the back of the Red stage. But the director did not keep his word. In the evening, eye witness accounts noted around 400 heavily armed soldiers located near the protestors and inside the hospital building itself. There were no patients and all lights were turned off in these buildings. Then the army moved in close to the mouth of Silom Road: About 50 PAD simultaneously came to wave flags and taunted the protestors. The red guards then quickly replaced the barricades. The police and blue uniform special branch then ran across the road. It is clear that the final plot is being hatched: Newin's thugs have now infiltrated the protestors because of the mixed colours and the army using Chulalongkorn University grounds and the Hospital as a base for massing forces for the final crunch. the final push will come from at least two sides, but through the rear with the help of the "Hospital" director and the black shirt thugs are armed to move in close to the stage. It is anticipated to come early in the morning before five AM because that is the time that the day volunteers replace the night protestors. Did this account get reported in the media?

It was reported at New Mandala and a TV poster gave a very similar account. It doesn't in anyway mitigate the offense however.

Did you write that yourself or are you quoting from someone elses pure fantasy? If 400 soliders were spotted, why would Payat turn up with only 200 reds? Do at least try to make the details plausible.

I'd also like to know if the line starting "It is clear that the final plot is being hatched" is still part of your 'insiders' account, or are you mixing up your own delusions? Either way, it gives the lie to this being a credible, objective report.

I noticed today that about five bulldozers were parked up not far from the protest site. First time I've seen them. Now THAT is the kind of objective detail that might support a crackdown coming, but luckily it was not reported by your "close friend" otherwise the detail would have been embellished with all sorts of exaggerated fantasies and emotive language.

:)

That just makes them look worse.

Unable to understand the electoral system in Thailand.

Incitement to violence.

Publication of magazines that preach hate, killing, homophobia, armed revolution and attack the monarchy.

Attack on a gay pride event.

Illegal roadblocks and harassment of travellers.

Forming an armed militia.

Training a secret army.

Encouraging protestors to go to Bangkok with bottles that will be filled with petrol for Molatov cocktails.

Killing security personel.

Taking of soldiers as hostages.

Beating injured soldiers in hospital/ambulances.

Kidnapping CEO of CAT.

Kidnapping 2 policemen.

Defending hate media as freedom of speech.

Grenade attack on opposing protestors.

Intimidation of opposing protestors' leader and defending that intimidation.

Intimidation of the judiciary in red publications.

Grenade attack on politician's house.

Grenade attack on banks.

Grenade attack on aviation fuel silo.

Attempted sabotage of electricty pylon.

Creation of illegal state in Bangkok.

Ruining the economy.

Beating of Czech translator who objected to illegal search.

Threatening civil war.

Rampaging through hospital.

Kidnapping of builders.

Defending the rampaging through hospital.

How could anything make them look worse? I guess they could hold a public signing of a contract with Lucifer, but I suspect that he wouldn't want his reputation damaged by being associated with the redshirts.

For those who haven't worked it out yet, the red leadership consists of evil people who would seize power, restrict freedom of speech, suppress any oposition, conduct inquisition style purges of those who had opposed them in the past, repress minorities, enrich themselves at everyone else's expense and generally act like filth. In fact they have already done almost all those things in the past.

What are you guys on about? This has nothing to do with the 'I dink to much page'.

But while I am here, can I just say I liked the long winded short story from the guy who counted exactly 400 army, shoot I can't get past 56 before they all start looking the same.

Who is New winner of a guy with a PAD big enough for 50 drunks before the police come in their blue shirts to spoil the party, again?

Anyways, somebody please PM me in the AM so I can remember how I got on some stage the other day dressed like an army dude before that mean guy told me to get lost.

Really need to go lay down now. Cheers beer is not that happy to be honest.

So the hospital is a war zone, the army and police did nothing to stop the invasion of the hospital so there is no security available and the wrong guys are the one who evacuate the hospital!

Secondly, why would you (or anybody) be dressed like someone in an army, in such a situation?

It's very obvious why it was never printed, it's absolute nonsense. Even if there were a slice of truth to this, the UDD had no right to ILLEGALLY barge this hospital and terrorize patients and staff or ILLEGALLY kidnap workers. However, hospital security do have th LEGAL right to detain those deemed as a possible threat to personal or patients. The UDD is not the law here, though you and other hard core supporters seem to think otherwise. They are terrorists, pure and simple. Spin away.

Bravo!!!
