I read about this issue before on this forum, I just got this error message relling me the trial version of the smtp server software had expired when sending an email.

I tried again and it didn't come up but I suspect they have a whole bunch of smtp servers to handle outgoing email.

Whilst on the subject of email does anyone else find that emails are getting rejected by Yahoo and labeled as spam, it looks like TOT IP's are on a blacklist as some kind of rogue provider.

This is not the first time I have heard of Yahoo labelling emails from here as spam.

With regards to smtp servers for your mail, look for alternatives on the internet for your location.

The problem is TOT seem to be blocking port 25 connections which makes it a pain. I do have some servers so maybe I will set something up allowing it to operate on a different port, I think it can be done with a program called 'rinetd', can't remember how to use it so I'll have to do some digging.

When when I email myself via the TOT smtp server it comes up as spam based on your spam software.

It's a real pain !

However the fact that they are forcing people to use their own SMTP servers suggests they are trying to do something about it - just that it's not working and now making the situation worse.

Avoid Thai ISP SMTP servers at all costs. They lose mail, get labeled as spam, usually don't offer SSL/TLS, etc.. The list goes on and on. A friend on loxinfo told me she had some complaints from recipients that they were receiving multiple copies of her emails so i asked he to send me one on that account. During the next 8 days i receive 33 copies of the same email. :)

I got my own web-space in Holland and it has an email server on it too (quite normal) They configured it for me so that it uses an other port because some ports are blocked. Works like a charm.
