It sounds to me as if you have not woken up to the threats from the extreme reds and Thaksin. This what you mentioned is his plan B and it wont work either. He will meet his judges for sure, here and in The Hague.

The security forces making it all the way to the Indra Hotel virtually puts them at the center of the Reds base throughout these past several weeks. It's close to over for the Reds and Thaksin, which is why Thaksin's squirming and squealing for the government to surrender! Even with the Reds routed as is happening it still won't be over however because Thaksin doesn't know how or when to quit.

Thaksin started this crisis with his corrupt and "murderous" regime (Sorry for using Red rhetoric) After this, he must have a death wish if he wants to come back to Thailand.

A deal seems pretty inevitable though. I think it'd be great to see free elections again where Thaksin and Abhisit can lead their respective parties. If Abhisit wins then that's totally fine with me.

A foreign journalist has been shot during protests between troops and anti-government protesters in Thailand, according to Reuters News Agency.

The journalist, who works with the France 24 television channel was shot in the leg and has been taken to hospital.

I hope the injury is not too bad. But this calls for a few precisions. Where was the journalist when he got shot? Was he behind the soldiers, behind red lines or somehow caught in the middle?

By the way, I wish someone told the soldiers to stop shooting live bullets into the air. The bullet has to go down sometime, and it still has more than enough energy to kill someone. Also psychologically it achieves noting at all in this situation: protesters will only panic and fire back with their own weapons - thinking they're being fired at.

The director of Kluaynamthai Hospital has confirmed one death from the clash between the authorities and the red-shirt protesters at the Bonkai intersection on Rama IV Road.

Six people were shot in the chest and two are in critical condition.

A man was shot and killed at the Bonkai Intersection where protesters clashed with troops.

The man was identified as Intaeng Theswong, 33.

He was shot at his right chest and was rushed to the Kluaynam Thai Hospital.

They're vandalising it peacefully of course.

What surprises me is that people are still calling these guys "demonstrators" or "protesters". They're in uniform (redshirts), they carry weapons and they attack people and property. They are an army who have invaded and occupied Bangkok.
