There was a very good post on here a while back about the correct usage of som nam naa. This is not an example. A lot of people - many of them innocent of any crime other than naivity and ignorance - are almost certainly going to die over the next couple of hours. Mothers will lose sons, wives their husbands, children their parents. The red leadership have engineered a Jonestown scenario. That this operation unfortunately has to be carried out is a given. But gloating is in very bad taste.

THAKSIN SHINAWATRA SEEKS MORE DEATHS IN BANGKOK ( www.livetradingnews.com ) May 17th. 2010

The terrorists and their manipulator abroad want to cause violence and as much loss of life as possible and put blame on the government so they can file legal cases with international organisations, PM’s Office Minister Sathit Wongnongtoey said on Monday.

In a clear reference to leaders of the United Front for Democracy against Dictatorship and to criminal fugitive turned terrorist Thaksin Shinawatra, Mr Sathit said this group of terrorists wanted to see the highest possible death toll.

He said this conclusion was derived from the fact that all of the clashes took place away from the rally site and that government forces were attacked from behind.

This caused losses to be inflicted on innocent people outside the main rally ground, he said. “From intelligence reports, the goal of these terrorists and their manipulator is to see the highest possible losses of lives. “They have hired foreign lawyers and brought them into the country so that they can see the damage they have caused with the intention to file lawsuits with international organisations abroad and to put blame on the present administration,” Mr Sathit said.

The minister said thepeople at highest risk people in this situation were local and foreign news reporters, health workers and innocent people living in the areas where clashes were occurring.
