I am a student at Thai language center in Bangkok. Their office/school is located on Narathiwas Road off of Sathorn Road in Bangkok. There are roadblocks preventing people from the Thonburi side of the river to enter the area of my school. As of now, I will be unable to get my visa extension paperwork from the school. I hope that I will be able to get the paperwork before Thursday. My visa expires on Saturday. I would need to go to immigration on or before Friday.

My question is this: What happens if I can't get the extension paperwork? Will I need to leave the country and get a new visa so I wont be on overstay? Do you think immigration will give some type of amnesty until I get the paperwork? Any thoughts or suggestions. Yes, I have been trying to call the school. There is no answer. I will give immigration a call as well. I can rarely get a straight answer from immigration when I call though.

Thank you for all of your help.

Hey, I am in the same boat as you.

Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated, I really don't know what to.

I only ever get the automated answering service whenever I have called immigration in the past.

If expires on Saturday you can still do on Monday. Later will likely be accepted if valid reason for not being able to do so but there may be overstay payment required (as they likely will not have authorization to not require it).

But the most we can do is crystal ball it as nothing has been announced that I am aware of.
